Access to County Mall during the Gatwick Run
Run Gatwick will be operating on Sunday 10th March, which will involve the closure of several roads across Crawley Town. Below we answer our most frequently asked questions about access to the centre.
Is County Mall open?
Yes, we are open in line with our usual Sunday open hours, 10:30 am - 4:30 pm. Access to the centre will only be restricted in line with road closures. For example, our North Car Park will be closed from 8 am - 2 pm, in line with the closure on Southgate Avenue. All other entrances will be open.
Are your car parks open?
Yes, our South Car Park will be open throughout the entire Gatwick Run. The North Car Park will be closed from 8 am until 12:45 pm due to the road closure along College Road. Those running the Gatwick Run and parking in County Mall North Car Park will be able to leave via College Road after the road closure.
Are buses still operating?
Yes, Metrobus services will still be operating, but will be using diversions to access the Town Centre. Please see their website for all diversion details.
How do I get to County Mall by car with the road closures?
Access to the town will be open via Station Way & Brighton Road.
I'm a runner or the family of a runner in the Gatwick Run 5k and half-marathon. Do I get free parking?
If you are running in any of the Gatwick Run races and park in the North Car Park before 8 am, before our road closures, then the participating runner can register for free parking at the event village after they have completed the run. Please note that runners must display their race bib to be eligible for free parking, and it is limited to one vehicle parked in the North Car Park. Our South Car Park is open to anyone else, and parking tariffs apply.
